This set’s design inspiration comes from the stone seal “人生惟有读书好” (Reading is the only good thing in life) in the collection of the Palace Museum. This phrase is from the poem “四时读书乐” (Joy of Reading in Four Seasons) by the Southern Song poet Weng Sen. It expresses the ancient people’s dedication to studying for the imperial examination throughout the four seasons in order to achieve academic success.
